Most recently, Perez has faced additional punishment from the FA. who issued a statement confirming their actions.

The FA said: “Jesus Perez, Chelsea’s assistant head coach has been charged with misconduct. following the Premier League match with Brentford on Saturday 28 October.”
“It is alleged that his behavior in the 88th minute which led to his dismissal was inappropriate. And he has until Thursday, November 2 to respond.”
Pochettino issued an apology on behalf of his long-time assistant after the defeat. Saying he was just trying to get the ball back quickly in front of the visitors so the Blues could quickly restart play.
“We apologize to Brentford and we apologize to the referee. Because he wanted to win the ball in front of Brentford, nothing more than that.” Pochettino said.
“It’s normal. They said, ‘What are you doing here?’ and he said, ‘What are you doing here?’ ‘I’m just here to get the ball’, that’s it, nothing else.”
