Atletico Madrid reserve midfielder Arthur Vermeeren is likely to move to the German league this summer, particularly Leverkusen.

German outlet Ufabet report on Saturday that Leverkusen are interest in signing Atletico Madrid’s Belgian midfielder Arthur Vermeeren before the summer window closes.

Leverkusen signed Alex Garcia from Girona this summer but Xavier Alonso is keen to add more to his midfield following the injury to Ezequiel Palacios in preparation for a busy season.

For Vermeeren, he moved from Antwerp to Atletico Madrid in January, but he only made five appearances for the Rojiblancos, all as a substitute.

Vermeeren is reportedly unlikely to see much playing time this season after Atletico Madrid signed Conor Gallagher from Chelsea to bolster their midfield options in addition to Jorge Rezorrecion Koke, Rodrigo de Paul, Pablo Barrios and Marcos Llorente.

However, the midfielder is hesitant to move to Leverkusen as the aim would be for him to get more playing time, but in Germany, he will face fierce competition in the midfield places and would have a better chance of playing more regularly somewhere else such as Valencia.

Therefore, Fermieren is considering a loan move to ยูฟ่าเบท another club for more game time. Apart from Leverkusen team, RB Leipzig is also interest in the 19-year-old midfielder.
