Portugal coach Roberto Martinez insists Cristiano Ronaldo is comfortable playing in back-to-back away games but could not guarantee he will start in Scotland.

Ronaldo started in Portugal’s 3-1 Nations League win at Poland on Saturday, playing 63 minutes before being substituted as they waited for Tuesday’s trip to Scotland.
“Age is not a factor in playing. Ronaldo doesn’t play like a 39-year-old,” Martinez said.
“We are assessing all the players and how they feel. Cristiano has done really well in this camp.”
“I think the difficulty of playing away from home for two games in a row is how do we prepare for the game? How do we recover the players’ bodies?”
“I have no doubt that after 60 minutes (in Poland) Cristiano will be able to contribute in the second game,”
“I don’t know if he’ll start or if he’ll be able to finish the game, but he can definitely contribute like he did in the last game.

However, Martinez insists there is no distraction, saying the superstar is “very easy to manage”.
“There are two aspects,” he added. “I manage the Cristiano Ronaldo that is trying to work hard to help the team to win tomorrow.
